New Delhi, December 18 (ANI): The father of the five-year-old girl who is undergoing treatment at the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (IIMS) has said that he is “the father” of her nation.
Speaking to The Indian Express on Saturday, Dr Manish Kumar said, “She is my baby and I am the mother of this nation.
It is the birthright of all Indian children.”
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Dr Kumar said that the child had been suffering from a blood clot.
“The doctors have not given her any medications, but they have said that she is going to be given a blood transfusion soon,” he said.
“She was treated in a special ward for blood clotting.
Her blood clot is not very big, but it is a big problem and the doctors have been giving her drugs for a long time.
I have been very concerned about her health and have been watching her closely,” he added.
Dr Kumar said he and his wife had been travelling from New Delhi to Delhi for several days.
“We are the first couple to leave the country since we came here for treatment,” he told the newspaper.
The Indian Express has reached out to the IIMS for a response.
