After being asked by Entertainment Weekly why she doesn’t want to see the upcoming season of Hannibal on Netflix, actress Shailene Woodley responded with the following: “Because, that’s the worst thing that could ever happen.”
The answer is that Hannibal is so awful it’s not even funny.
In the upcoming sixth season of the Netflix series, the series will be revisiting the story of a serial killer whose name is Hannibal Lecter.
In it, the titular killer will take on multiple victims and his first victim will be an old friend, who will eventually come to know him as Hannibal Lecters father.
Woodley, who starred in the first season of The Vampire Diaries, also shared her thoughts on why the show won’t air on the streaming service.
“I am not going to watch it because it’s just a shitty show,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
“Hannibals parents and brother are gonna die in the show.”
Woodley has not been a fan of the series since the series first premiered on HBO in 2011.
“I have a hard time watching that show because of the fact that it’s the first time that I ever cried,” she said.
“And I don’t know why.”
In an interview with Deadline, Woodley said that she was hesitant to go to see Hannibal because she felt she had seen too much of the show.
“The thing that I do miss the most is the Hannibal Lecte,” she added.
“Because he’s such a cool dude.”
The series first aired on HBO and Amazon Prime in 2011, but it was pulled from those streaming services due to an alleged copyright violation.
After Amazon re-aired the series in 2017, it was put back on Amazon Prime for a second season, which will air on February 13.
The second season of “Hampden” premieres on HBO on February 14.
